Moby was built in 1971 in Hamble Shipyard, UK for the Ocean Youth Trust (see below for link). Moby is one of eight boats built to a Robert Clark design. She is built of composite laminate over 1-inch Airex core width a steel structural cage integral to inner laminates. Was overbuilt for her preciuos cargo of 16 youth and captain and mate. Classic lines, long and lean she powers to weather well. At 20 knots on a reach will sail 10 plus knots and be comfortable. Even, in light air, she moves well. A 48-inch wheel and large quadrant make time at the helm a joy. Has Coast Guard documentation and 12-passenger waiver.

- Perkins 130 HP Deisel with gauge panel, 150 hours.

- 2 50-Gallon diesel tanks (aluminum), 1 is plumbed.

- 12 Cubic foot (if 4-6" insulation added) ice box cabinet established with large adjacent space for compressor etc.

-105 lb Lewmar claw anchor with 150' of HT chain.
- 65lb CQR with 150' proof chain.
- S.S. Anchor platform with 2 rollers.
-1 Large coffee grinder for heavy sail work and anchor retrieval.
- Whisker and spinnaker poles with 2 tracks and heavy padeyes on main mast.
-1 Custom boom vang for the main boom.
- 6 Large snap shackles for line up to 3/4".
- 2 Mainsails 1 in very good shape. 13oz, fully battened with 3 reefs. 1 spare fair 2 reefs.
- 3 Jibs, 1 110 New, 1 130 very good, 1 fair.
- 1 Staysail in good condition (hank on)

- 1 Mizzen in fair condition with 2 reefs
- 2 spinnakers 1 1oz? main, 1 1 1/2oz mizzen.
- Profurl on headstay in good condition.
- Mast steps to top of mainmast, crows nest at second spreaders.
-3 Winches on mainmast with leads for halyards to grinder as needed. 1 halyard stopper to free winch for spin halyard.
-1 Winch on the mizzen.
- Deck winches for jib, staysail, and main sheets. Mizzen on 4-1 purchase.
- All running rigging is in like new condition.
- All Standing rigging is in very good condition.
- Simrad GPS and 36-mile radar.
